a walk down memory lane

I was doing some cleaning in my room last night and rediscovered my old "diary". It consists of four binders filled with family newsletters I mailed to family and supporters during our time at the seminary, yearly Christmas letters, and all my old blog posts. The kids found them this morning and then proceeded to spend the entire day reading them.

"Oh my gosh, I was sooo funny."
"Mom, mom, do you remember when ..."
"I don't remember that."
"Look what you said."
"We were so cute."
"He's so little."
"Oh, here I am again. What else is there about me?"

And on and on and so it went. Maybe this will make up for not filling in Son's baby book? Maybe?

  1. I have half a baby book done for five kids, and a whole lot of blogging.

  2. I ought to start doing that- sending out newsletter, that is. Always intend to do it, but never get it done.

And ditto for the baby book. I only have one so far, and I still had to make up most of the dates on the calendar. It's not like I don't have the time.

  3. My kids baby books aren't complete. But I made a scrapbook for each of their confirmations. Sarah's confirmation was in 2009 and I am just finishing it. That is a memory I pray they will hold close to them.
